The Wedding News

Star in your very own magazine! As it's one of the most important days of your life why not go all out and have a magazine all about you! This wonderfully creative idea is brought to us by an online company called "the wedding news" and can be fully customised and personalised to include whatever you want. Why not add this to your tables, give them away as favours or use them as your order of service?

Perhaps you could include some photos of your guests maybe even some from their own weddings from years gone by? Or how about using some of your guests baby photos to play "guess the baby" picture? With such a blank canvass there are loads of things you could include in this magazine so get your creative juices going.

You can find samples and ordering information over at theweddingnews.

Table Plan

Written by Andrea. Published on May 10th 2010, 20:42. [ table plan, stationary ]

So you've spent night after night working on your guest list, working out who will sit next to whom now is the fun part of putting your table plan together. There are loads of options out there from the DIY cardboard kind to the professionally printed canvas ones. I'd say your theme and budget will probably decide what style you will have but here are a few for inspiration to get you started.

This elegant canvas table plan is from Bubbly Creations.

How about something simple like this from Makeyourownwedding.com

This is a DIY plan from the wonderfully creative blogger over at Our Day by Design.

For a vintage themed wedding how about using an old antique frame around your table plan? This one is from Helen Carter Weddings.

All of these designs could be made by your own fair hand should you have the will and want to do so. I made my own and really enjoyed doing it in the weeks leading up to the big day. It gave me a real sense of satisfaction seeing it standing pride of place at the entrance to the dining room on our wedding day. I'm not a particularly creative or arty person but with a little imagination and a good craft store you can pretty much make any of the designs you see online yourself. If you don't have the spare time or want to make your own have a shop around as prices can vary wildly.
